Example 6: Factory Configuration

In this configuration:

Port 1, channel A, protection circuit, transparent

Port 2, channel B, 2400 baud, 8 bit

Port 3, sharing channel B to provide additional V24 ports

Port 4, channel D, 2400 baud, 8 bit

Each link runs at its own clock speed. SCADA data may be transferred from B1 to B2

at V24 level by effectively being re-transmitted from the SCADA equipment. Only

possible on a well disciplined system where only on terminal transmits at once.
